The unredacted review into the conduct of Operation Midland has now been published.
The Batholomew’s Notes website has helpfully provided a comprehensive summary of the recent media coverage of the Carl Beech case, which has resulted in his conviction and imprisonment for 18 years on 12 counts of perverting the course of justice, one of fraud, and several child sexual offences.
Operation Midland was launched by the Metropolitan Police on 14 November 2014 to investigate the claims of a single individual that there had been a vast paedophile ring at the centre of the political establishment in the 1970s and 1980s.
Operation Midland has come to an end. The Metropolitan Police have announced they will proceed no further.
